I've been drawn to photography for most of my life. Even as a kid, I loved cameras and pictures. I enjoy the blend of art and science that photography encompasses. Most people think the technical aspects are the hard part but anyone can learn those. The real challenge is always to figure out what will make a compelling image, the kind you can hang on the wall, look at over and over again and still get something new out of every time.

Equipment wise I use a Nikon D200 and have collection of lenses though I mostly only carry around my 16-85mm and 80-200mm. My prize piece of equipment is a 500mm f4 lens.
